Vi står i solidaritet med palestinske helsepersonell og pasienter, og fordømmer angrepet på det sterkeste. Helsetjenester og helsepersonell har en spesiell beskyttelse som må sikres uansett, sier Lill Sverresdatter Larsen, leder i Sykepleierforbundet.
Mange drepte på sykehusområdet
Mandag morgen meldte palestinske helsemyndigheter at det var funnet mange drepte, og at det var store ødeleggelser på al-Shifa-sykehuset i Gaza. Dette etter at Israel mandag morgen trakk seg ut av området etter to ukers kamper på sykehusområdet.
– Situasjonen for sivilbefolkningen i Gaza er en humanitær krise. At sykehus og helsepersonell har blitt angrepet gjennom flere måneder gjør situasjonen enda mer uholdbar. Prinsippet om medisinsk nøytralitet er urokkelig. Vi ber derfor om at alle tar til orde for umiddelbar våpenhvile og tilgang på humanitær hjelp, sier Anne Karin Rime, president i Legeforeningen.
– Alle handlinger som utsetter sivile og helsepersonell for livsfare må avsluttes. Angrep på helsepersonell og deres pasienter er et brudd på humanitærretten. Det må Israel respektere, sier Håkon Kongsrud Skard, president i Psykologforeningen.
Condemns the attack on al-Shifa hospital in Gaza

– Israel's attack on the Shifa hospital in Gaza is totally unacceptable and a violation of international humanitarian law. The health service in Gaza is officially destroyed. We stand in solidarity with Palestinian health personnel and patients, and condemn the attack in the strongest possible terms.
